We grow cut flowers on a small patch of land in Branston Booths because we want to provide local people with a low-impact alternative to intensively grown flowers.
Whether you’re a florist or a member of the general public, we’d love to provide you with flowers that don’t cost the Earth.
Despite the end product, the global flower industry is not pretty. Flowers are often grown thousands of miles away from the customer, transported in refrigerated units, treated with a combination of problematic chemicals, grown in artificial conditions (requiring significant energy and water), and wrapped in single-use plastic.
All of these things mean intensively grown flowers incur a high carbon footprint and are bad news for nature. We’d like to offer an alternative, flowers that work with nature rather than against it.
We are part of a movement of growers around the UK aiming to do the same thing.
